These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Bryan Hinman Counseling PLLC website (the “Site”) and any services, content, tools, and features provided through it (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Site and Services, you’re agreeing to these Terms.

2. Our Services

Bryan Hinman Counseling PLLC offers virtual counseling services, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). Brian (“I” or “We”) also provides organizational and provider consulting services.

Clinical Use Information:

  • This service is not for emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, please call 911 immediately or go to your nearest emergency room.

  • Virtual Sessions: All counseling services are provided virtually from Bloomington, Illinois. This means we meet via secure video conferencing. You’re responsible for having a private, secure, and stable internet connection for your sessions.
  • Therapeutic Relationship: A therapeutic relationship begins only after a free 20-minute consultation, a comprehensive initial evaluation session ($190), completion of all required intake paperwork, and mutual agreement to proceed with therapy.
  • Scope of Practice: Bryan Hinman, MA, LCPC, provides services within his scope of practice and licensure in Illinois. If you live outside of Illinois, please confirm that telehealth services across state lines are permitted by your state’s regulations.
  • No Guarantees: While therapy is very effective for many, Bryan Hinman Counseling PLLC can’t guarantee specific outcomes. Your progress depends on various factors, including your active participation and individual circumstances.
  • Consulting Services: Our organizational and provider consulting services are separate from clinical counseling and are covered by distinct agreements.

3. Your Responsibilities

As a user of this Site and Services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information when asked for it on the Site.
  • Keep any login credentials confidential if you’re given access to a client portal.
  • Use the Site and Services only for lawful purposes and in a way that doesn’t interfere with anyone else’s use.

  • Understand that Bryan Hinman Counseling PLLC isn’t responsible for technical issues beyond our control, like your internet being down.

4. Financial Terms (Counseling Services)

  • Free Consultation: We offer a free 20-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit.
  • Initial Evaluation: The initial evaluation session is 60 minutes and costs $190. This session is required before ongoing therapy starts.
  • Session Fees: All subsequent session fees will be discussed and agreed upon during your initial evaluation.
  • Payment: Payments are due at the time of service. We accept various forms of payment, as specified during intake. NO PAYMENTS SHOULD BE SUBMITTED THROUGH THIS WEBSITE.
  • Insurance: Bryan Hinman Counseling PLLC accepts insurance. You’re responsible for checking your insurance benefits and understanding any co-pays, deductibles, or non-covered services. We can help with billing, but you’re ultimately responsible for all fees.
  • Cancellation Policy: Sessions must be canceled or rescheduled with [e.g., 24-48 hours] notice. Missed appointments or late cancellations will incur a fee, as outlined in your intake paperwork.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site, including text, graphics, images, and logos, belongs to Bryan Hinman Counseling PLLC or content suppliers.
