Individual Counseling
Our brains store traumatic memories differently than other experiences. They can be fragmented or disorganized, but therapy allows us to safely revisit these experiences. I offer the following treatment options to help support you on your journey.
Types of Counseling
Talk Therapy
Conventional talk therapy offers a safe, supportive space to explore what’s happening in your life and what feels most important to you. Together, we’ll use open and honest conversation to help you make sense of your thoughts, emotions, and experiences.
In therapy, I won’t be giving you advice. Instead, it will be a collaborative process where I am supporting you finding your own insights and direction. Each session moves at your pace and focuses on helping you create meaningful, lasting change in your life.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that helps people heal from the effects of trauma, distressing experiences, and negative self-beliefs. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR uses gentle eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation to help your brain process and reframe difficult memories and sensations in a safe, structured way.
Many clients find that EMDR lessens the emotional weight of painful experiences, builds resilience, and fosters a stronger sense of self. It has been shown to be effective in treating trauma-related disorders (including PTSD), phobias, grief, performance anxiety, addiction, sexual dysfunction, depression, OCD, and other life challenges.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT is an evidence-based approach that helps people relate differently to difficult thoughts and feelings rather than getting “stuck” in them.
Instead of focusing on eliminating distress or trying to change thoughts, we will use ACT to help you learn tools for self-acceptance, mindfulness, and values-based action.
By learning to be more present and clarifying what truly matters to you in life, we build your ability to move forward with purpose even in the face of challenges.

What can you expect?
Throughout therapy, I strive to make sure you understand any and all options available to you, as well as any benefits and potential risks.
The process always moves at your pace, with a focus on your choices and readiness, without any pressure to share anything before you’re ready.
My practice is grounded in trauma-informed care; I aim to create a space that feels safe, collaborative, and empowering.
Together we will use evidence-based approaches that have been shown to help people heal from the effects of trauma and distressing experiences.
In our work together, I will always value you and your experience. We will explore how to feel better and clarify your values.
Together, we will identify what truly matters to you and align your actions with the life you want to live.
